About Retina

The Retina Conference is an annual event organised by Irish patient led-charity Fighting Blindness. Testament to its success, the Retina Conference was awarded ‘Best Educational Meeting’ at the Irish Healthcare Awards.

Approaching its 20th year, this multi-dimensional 3 day event will see more than 400 people attend at least one element of the conference representing every stakeholder group: patients, advocates, clinicians, scientists, industry, regulators and government.

In a spirit of collaboration, RETINA is the perfect platform for knowledge exchange, staying up to date on therapeutic developments, fostering new collaborations, establishing new connections and acknowledging the significant research efforts taking place both in Ireland and abroad.

Retina 2019 takes place on Science Week in Ireland. With your generous support, we can develop the Retina 2019 Conference to enhance academic, clinical, industry and patient involvement.

“The work that Fighting Blindness does is very personal to me as I have seen up close the challenges, difficulties and stresses faced by people who have lost their sight. Many conferences are all about the experts, but Retina goes much further” TD Mary Mitchell O’Connor
